Who made your bag?

Introducing MEND - A new handbag line from Invisible Children handmade by Ugandan women who are trying to support their families and provide them with a better life. The website gives a brief video on each individual women who works for MEND. Who wouldn't want to support them?

Great job IC. I am continually impressed with the work you do in Uganda.

Want to learn more about Invisible children, check out their website. Zach and I have been TRI members for about a year now and have been involved in events they do to help stop the fighting in Uganda.

Fall Weekend

This past weekend we definitely celebrated all things fall.

We drove took a trip to St. Louis to visit my family and my brother who drove in from Arkansas. This is a typical photo of the two of us. See the family resemblance?

On saturday Zach and I watched my niece Gabrielle for the afternoon. We had SOO much fun playing in the leaves! Gabrielle could not wait to jump in!

She got some free stickers at Trader Joe's and we were all required to wear them on our noses.

We've both pretty much decided that our first child is almost guaranteed to look like my niece, I mean she already looks like our kid! :)

Sunday was filled with pumkin patches and apple picking. It started raining for a bit, but we didn't let that ruin our fun!

All in all, a great fall weekend!

New Items!

I added a few new items to my Etsy last week! I hope you enjoy!

Also, in other news, I signed up for my first craft show/holiday market! I'm pretty excited to see how it goes. I'm also thinking about signing up for a month-long holiday market in St. Louis, called the Foundrie. It's a month-long shopping store/event and it's the first week they've decided to do this, so it may be sort of an experiment, but I have about a week to decide. Plus side, it's at Chesterfield Mall, which is like 5 min from my parents house, in a VERY wealthy area, downside: it cost's a hundred bucks...

What should I do?

It's fall and I really want to go...

Apple Picking!
When we were younger we used to go
to a farm in eastern Illinois called Eckert's. I remember going there and picking apples, and sometimes pumpkins. And then we would go into the little shop and I would get a straw of honey and suck on it all afternoon.
OH man, I need to find a place on this side of Missouri that has the same atmosphere!

Rosatti's Pizza

So in July, a group of us girls went to Chicago for a fun bachelorette weekend. One night we waited close to 3 hours for the famous Girodano's pizza. And it was totally worth the wait. I swear I have been craving it ever since.

Well, last night we discovered that Kansas City has a substitute for that amazing pizza. Rosati's. Absolutley delicious.

Chicago Deep Dish = Amazing in my mouth!

Try it, you will see!

Boston lost his manhood

Our awesome little pup, Boston, was nuetered this weekend. About a month before he turned two. Why did we wait so long? Because in Kansas City it would have cost almost 3oo bucks. So we eventually decided that it needed to be done and made an appointment in Nevada, Mo. (Zach's hometown). It was about half the price and they took care of hime pretty well.

He has been so tired since his surgery. Sleeping all day and just sitting on the ground staring at us. I can almost hear him sometimes saying "Why did you do this to me?? I thought you loved me?!"

We do Boston, we do. Its for the benefit of us all.

I will leave you with his irresistable face.

infinite possibilities

This part of your life can be so confusing. Where to go, what to do. What is important to us right now. What is our focus in life. So many options. It can be so overwhelming and I just want something to happen to tell us: this is where you need be and this is what you need to do.

Zach continues to apply at different jobs here and in St. Louis. No word yet on any of them. Several interviews, several times calling back to check on the interviews, several times they haven't said a word.

I feel like this is the point where it is obvious to us that we have been going about this the wrong way. Back in April and May, we should have been praying and talking to God about where we should go and what we should be doing and seeking him in all of our options. But that hasn't been as consistent as it should have been. It's only now that we are starting to realize this. So we look to him and hope that wherever we go and whatever we do, we praise God and love people and seek his wisdom first.
