Haiti is special to me because I had the opportunity to go there for 2 weeks a few summers back and ever since the people there have held a special place in my heart. They have nothing but they are so happy. We went to Saint Louis de Nord up north and I've heard that they are mostly safe, but so many have family in and around Port au Prince, the countries capital, where the earthquake struck. And I'm sure everyone is devasted and trying to figure out why.
Below are a few of the humbling faces of some Haitians that we visited.

That is so sad...
I think your decision to give a portion of your Etsy sales to Haiti relief efforts is beautiful. I've featured one of your lovely cowls, along with a few other items from sellers who are donating, on my blog: http://www.westervin.com/blog/2010/01/14/the-shopping-sherpa-haiti-relief/
Thank you so much for the feature and bringing awareness to this! Haiti is such a special country and when I found out what happened, this seemed the only logical thing to do to help. Thanks agains for your care and the work your blog promotes.
With love,
Cristin
